This week was my birthday and my friends from school gave me a new nail polish! Thanks girls! We had a presentation that afternoon, so we had a little brunch before to celebrate my birthday. The color they gave me was a nice sparkling silver, from my favorite brand OPI. I couldn’t wait to use it for a nail art design. I used it with another color that I already had for a while, but I never got to really use it because it’s very light.
Time for a new nail design! I’m a really big fan of black nail polish and other dark colors. So this time I chose a black design. And as told many times before I’m into simple nail designs. That’s why I only chose two colors and simple triangles for a more sophisticated look . Plus it doesn’t take much time and you don’t need to be very handy to do this.
How I love my liquid sand nail polishes from OPI. Those are for the lazy days, just put them on and no worries for the upcoming days. They chip rarely and stay on so good. The only hard part in using liquid sand is the removal. The only thing worse removing from your nails are glitters. Don’t even try the quick dip removers, they will take you even longer.
Since it’s the holidays and I don’t have to go to school I had some extra time for a nail design. In a week my exams will start and because I’m a procrastinator, I spend more time polishing my nails than studying. Hope I won’t regret it after my exams ;-) But anyways I tried out a more time-consuming nail design than I would normally do. And just to warn you a lot of striping tape and patience is needed. But I thinks it’s worth it and a little extra fits perfectly for New Year’s eve ;-)
Yes I did it, here's a nail design with a Christmas tree! :-)Christmas is almost there and I couldn’t resist doing a christmas nail design. As said before I didn’t want to paint a Christmas tree on my nails because I think that’s too obvious. But then it might be too obvious not to do it. And because one of my favourite OPI polishes just screams Christmas, I decided to just go for it. But I like it real simple. I’m not a fan of whole drawings and paintings on my nails. That’s why I chose to polish the tree on only one finger on each hand, my ring finger. I don’t know why but I always seem to pick this finger to add something extra. The tree is going to be a little abstract too.
