First of all I’d like to welcome you to my blog.
My name is Birgit but online I often use the self-chosen name iPoca, the way I named my blog. Most people ask me iPo-what? Let me explain it, you will understand. I’m a digital native and an Apple fan. I love all their products, so that’s what the ‘i’ stands for, like iPhone and iPad. Next is the Poca part. It’s mostly because all my life people told me I have hair like Pocahontas. So I’ve put them together and became iPoca.
I’m a student in digital marketing and communication in Brussels. Digital natives is what they call our generation and I truly am fascinated with everything digital. I’m kind of like Alice in wonderland, looking for all the possibilities in this connected world.
But I’m not going to write about digital, Apple or Disney. In my blog it’s all about nail polish. I have to admit when I was younger I was a nail biter. I tried those polishes to make you stop, but they never worked. When I was 17 I saw a girl with her nails done perfectly. I was sold, the only thing I wanted from then on was to have beautiful nails too. When I started using nail polish the bright colors and not wanting to ruin the polish helped me to stop biting my nails.
I don’t like my nails when they’re not polished, they just look so much better in color. It makes them look more equal and cleaner. I love to make little art works of my nails, but I don’t want them to look like a carnival. That’s why I only use nail art in a subtle way. When searching the internet for ideas, the most nail art examples are way too much. That’s why I thought of starting a blog about nail polish that’s not over the top. I don’t want them to be too hard or to take too much time. Because I’m convinced that most people don’t want to spend hours and hours on just one manicure.
