How I love my liquid sand nail polishes from OPI. Those are for the lazy days, just put them on and no worries for the upcoming days. They chip rarely and stay on so good. The only hard part in using liquid sand is the removal. The only thing worse removing from your nails are glitters. Don’t even try the quick dip removers, they will take you even longer.
I think OPI first came up with liquid sand in it’s Mariah Carey collection in 2012. Then there was the Bond Girls collection, which was one of my favorites. From then on they were in many more collections like Minnie Mouse, Wizzard of Oz, Mariah Carey collection 2013, …
But sad enough in the latest collections there were no liquid sands to be found.
But since just reviewing polishes isn’t my thing, I’m here to show another nail design! It involves striping tape (again), two liquid sand polishes and a white nail polish as a base. I used ‘make him mine’ and ‘baby please come home’ from OPI. I remember buying those online, I just couldn’t choose between them but they don’t differ that much. Still no regrets of buying them both! The other polish used is ‘Alpine Snow’ from OPI. After the base coat I painted my ring finger, middle finger and thumb with the white polish. My pink is polished in ‘make him mine’ and my index finger is painted in ‘baby please come home’. Then I used striping tape to make the horizontal bars with liquid sand. I chose to make two bars, same height, on every nail. I didn’t apply any topcoats because it’ll change the liquid sand polish.

I was really happy with the result, might be interesting to try it with other colors too! Feel free to share your opinion, question or design! I’d be happy to see them J
