Last weekend I went to the hairdresser! It had been a while, I’m even embarassed to tell how long ago it was 😳 It was necessary to cut off those long strands of hair and I was ready for a shorter summer cut! This summer hairstyle asks for some lighter tresses so I went for a natural ombre. I’m not just randomly telling you all this, it’s because of the matching nail art design I came up with!
Of course it’s not completely matching, I would never dye my hair orange and red, but my nails are a summer ombre too ;-) I started painting my nails in orange with ‘where did Suzi’s man-go’ from OPI. Then I took a sponge, just a sponge like you use in the kitchen or for the dishes, because it didn’t work with make-up sponges… On the sponge I applied a stroke of ‘Live.love.carnival’ and a stroke of ‘5 apples tall’ both from OPI. I stamped with the sponge on my nails until it looked how I planned. It isn’t perfect immediately but when you apply a top coat the colors float into each other even more and it looks great!
I doubted for a while whether I would add something extra, but then I decided to just stick with the ombre as it is. The bright colors are more than enough for me, now I can’t wait for the sun to come back! ;-)
