New week, new nails. This week I’m trying a new technique that really is so simple, I couldn’t believe it myself! It’s called smoosh attack and you’ll need a nail art stamper. I had one of these stampers lying around but I never really used it before. Marble nails is something I wanted for so long but I tried water marbling before for a DIY and that didn’t work out very well… So this technique is really (really!) easy and you can get that lovely marble effect on your nails, AWESOME!
I started with two layers of Alpine snow from OPI to start with a nice white base. Then I applied some drops of this polish on the stamper and added the same amount of drops Grey zone from Essence on the stamper. I also applied some drops of Vintage from Ciaté on the stamper. These drop were much smaller than the light colors because otherwise the result will turn out way too dark. You just stamp over your nails with this until you get a nice result. You have to go around to cover the whole nail. Don’t be afraid to get polish on you fingers, just clean that up afterwards. I added a topcoat for a longer stay and that’s it!
I thought this was going to be a lot harder than it seemed, but I really is as easy as it looks! I already have some new ideas to try out with this technique, maybe something with some pastels. You must try this yourself to see how easy this really is! :-)
